"We worked with Eric Pugatch and had a great experience! We were relocating from out of state so I worked with Eric over the phone to narrow things down before we came into town for a whirlwind trip. I was comfortable with Eric sending me properties and me narrowing them down myself but on a few I needed more input and he was very helpful. Since things move fast in Austin (they seriously do!) he offered to go look at the homes and FaceTime or text me pictures which was nice. It’s stressful to buy a home, it’s even more stressful to buy a home when you are out of state and have only a few days in town to find something and make an offer but working with Eric took a lot of the stress away. He has a very calm personality which is great when house hunting and he isn’t pushy at all. He is genuinely such a nice guy and makes you feel so comfortable and I think he truly wants you to find a house you love and cares about what he does. Even on the homes he knew would get multiple offers he would let me know but when he saw I wasn’t sold yet he didn’t push which I really appreciated. He was a great sounding board to bounce ideas and concerns off of. My husband literally told me to call Eric (not a family member or a friend but Eric!) so he could talk me off the ledge when I was freaking out during the process haha We will for sure use Eric again and highly recommend him!" - Justine

"Eric is an awesome guy, with great knowledge of the market, lots of patience, and a good sense of humor. This really helps alleviate the stress of finding a perfect home remotely. He even ventured outside without an umbrella or raincoat in the middle of a torrential rain for a virtual tour of the pool and yard of the house that we eventually bought. We got the house that we wanted on our first offer, thanks to Eric’s advice and guidance, so we couldn’t be happier. " - Inigo M.

"We started the home buying process 1,300 miles away from Austin and always felt like we were in good hands with Eric. If we had questions about a home, Eric was on the phone right away getting us details (good and bad!). Eric was always on our side, and we appreciate him helping us find our new home! " - Jocelyn M.

In hindsight, Eric’s path to an amazing life in Austin, Texas became inevitable the moment he asked a native Texan to marry him. After a childhood in Boston, ten years in New York City and seven years in San Francisco, Austin eventually came calling. Eric is so glad it did. The decision to live and raise a family in this town, incredible in so many ways, is one of the best decisions he has ever made.
Austin’s amazing entrepreneurial spirit and welcoming community gave him the push he needed to pursue his long-held dream of building a successful career in real estate. Buying and selling homes in some of the most complex and competitive real estate markets in the country had a profound impact on his own family, and he’s learned that few things in life are more important and meaningful than finding the place we call home.
No matter where he was or what he’s done, one thing has been consistent. He is often singled out by clients and colleagues as being a calming voice within the chaos; a steady hand in the storm. It’s a trait that lends itself to representing buyers and sellers in a real estate transaction that runs the gamut from practical to emotional. For some, buying or selling a home can be a stressful, overwhelming experience. But it doesn’t have to be. It’s his goal to help his clients not only succeed in achieving their real estate goals but to feel served and rewarded by the process.
Eric has spent the first part of his career as communication, advertising, and public affairs executive. He has been a valued senior advisor, leading non-profit organizations, major public agencies, and prominent elected officials. Through this work, he has gained invaluable experience equally applicable to the real estate market from negotiating multi-million dollar contracts to guiding clients through crises.
Eric loves Austin. It has welcomed his family with open arms and afforded him an incredible life. His wife, Candace, five-year-old son Parker and three-year-old daughter Emma can often be spotted enjoying Austin’s amazing parks, pools and outdoor spaces, countless family-friendly restaurants, taking in a University of Texas sporting event, running around in the yard or taking an evening stroll with his neighbor. Whatever you’re looking for in Austin, Eric can promise you that it’s here. He would love to have the chance to help you find it.
