Barb moved to Orinda with her family as a young girl. She attended Glorietta, OIS and Miramonte High School and swam at Meadow Swim Club before heading off to UCLA and Loyola Law School. Her mother Maxine was a successful real estate Broker who with her partners’ built the Better Homes building on Mt. Diablo Blvd in Lafayette. During summers Barb worked in her real estate practice and has since taken over her family’s residential property management business.
During her time practicing law, Barb served as General Trial Counsel for USAA, was a Litigation Partner in a San Francisco mid size firm handling complex construction defect, residential fire and asbestos cases and served as a Mediator/Arbitrator for the San Francisco Superior Courts.
Barb also has a certification in mortgage banking and underwriting as well as an extensive background in remodel and interior design, which is her passion. She has completed 5 full home remodels in Orinda and Moraga and thus, has a thorough understanding of the local and county permitting process. Her remodel and design experience allows her to make thoughtful recommendations to her buyers and sellers and is an asset in getting her listings ready for market. She has an eye for detail and know how when it comes to staging. Barb maintains a lengthy list of trusted vendors she refers to her clients and often assists them well after the close of an escrow with everything home related.
Barb has been active in her local community as a former member of Orinda Junior’s, active member in NCL Acalanes Chapter, member of Miramonte Booster and Parent’s Club and a volunteer with EFO and Blue Star Mom’s for veterans. She remains in good standing with the CA BAR Association.
