Jeffrey Ma was born in Chicago and raised in the North Shore. He graduated from New Trier High School, and lived in China for 2 years teaching English, after he enrolled at University of Illinois at Chicago and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship.
At 21, Jeffrey and his father opened and managed Lan's Old Town, a Chinese restaurant known for its BYOB karaoke parties. At 27, he opened U Rice, a pan-Asian restaurant now a successful catering business. Years of experience in the restaurant industry have taught him the importance of hard work, service, hospitality, and communication.

Jeffrey now resides in Logan Square, but he has also lived in Lincoln Park, Old Town, Lakeview, Wrigleyville, River North, West Town, and Humboldt Park which gives him an intimate knowledge of the the surrounding areas. He is a true Chicagoan, and enjoys helping others when it comes to food and homes.
When he's not in the kitchen or serving his clients' real estate needs, Jeff can be found cooking, reading, longboarding, dancing, and eating a lot. Jeffrey is a 4th degree black belt in Tae-kwon-do, a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and a passionate world traveler.
