Kyle brings a wealth of business and legal experience as a licensed attorney. In 2012, Kyle became the owner, operator and in-house counsel for American Junkie, a popular Chicago based restaurant bar. In building this successful business from the ground up, he oversaw the construction of the venue, put in place recruiting and hiring procedures, oversaw a staff of 300, and supervised all aspects of the marketing campaigns, food and beverage services. As in-house counsel and in collaboration with the City of Chicago representatives, Kyle, processed and completed the essential documentation for required licenses and ensured legal adherence to building permits and codes. He developed binding contracts for entertainment groups, vendors, company executives, and specialized consultants while approving legal documents with insurance providers in liability claim disputes to facilitate appropriate resolution.
After the sale of American Junkie to a large venture capitalist firm, Kyle joined Atlys Group where he identifies and develops opportunities locally, nationally and internationally. In this context, he has developed a worldwide network of corporations, multi-family offices, insurance companies, hedge funds, sovereign funds and high-net-worth individuals. He evaluates business opportunities internationally with an eye toward adding value through Atlys group solutions. He is skilled in complex contract negotiations, which are instrumental in building business relationships. In his role as an attorney at Atlys Group, Kyle examines business proposals for adherence to legal requirements and intellectual property across multiple jurisdictions worldwide.
Following his graduation with honors from the John Marshall Law School in 2010, he obtained his license to practice law in Illinois. Kyle purchased The Illinois Law Group and became the lead counsel. At the Illinois Law Group Kyle managed a staff of two Associates and three legal secretaries. He worked directly with key accounts and clients; conducted short sales, loan modifications, residential closings, and debt settlements. He also settled financial conflicts and successfully litigated the defense of multiple foreclosure cases. In 2013, Kyle sold The Illinois Law Group to an Associate in the firm to pursue an opportunity in the hospitality field where he honed his business skills in addition to developing expertise as an in-house council.
Now, Kyle maintains his relationship with Atlys Group while pursuing a career in real estate at Compass. His plan is to blend his legal back group with his experience in investor relations to excel in both commercial and residential translations.
