Buyer's Agent, Listing Agent, Downsizing, CLHMS- Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, CSA- Certified Staging Advocate
Gailya spent over 25 years in sales, management, and marketing in corporate America. After seven years as the top salesperson for a nationwide radio company, she moved into management and was soon the youngest General Manager in Dallas. Communication, strategy, and having a keen sense of the markets she served are the skills she attributes to her success.
Throughout her stellar career, Gailya has had one driving passion- scoring the win for her clients. She joined Compass to meld her previous experience with her passion for real estate. Her father and grandfather were West Texas builders, giving her a strong knowledge of both old and new construction. She has bought and sold homes since she was 18, and she has managed what seems like an army of contractors, all on deadlines.
Gailya is adept at working with sellers when preparing for their sale. At first contact, she asks to hear the story of the home, walking through each room with the client, and discussing expectations and how to best communicate, moving forward. She creates a detailed comparative market analysis to assist in pricing the home accurately. She brings her stager to every listing, then brings her marketing experience to the equation by targeting qualified buyers. She uses Facebook adverts, events, email marketing, specific sites accessed by Dallas Realtors® as well as seeking exposure in print. Her listings have been featured on real estate blogs like Candy's Dirt, Culture Map, ads in the East Dallas Advocate, and the Dallas Morning News. She stays close to sellers until the moment they receive proceeds from the sale (and often after, as many of her clients become her friends).
When working with buyers, Gailya believes her primary responsibility is to listen carefully to what they want and give them all the information they need to find their home. From mortgage prequalification to searches and showings, from carefully considered offers to skillful negotiations, she takes her responsibilities very seriously. She loves working with relocation clients as she and her family have been through that process multiple times. She understands the short timeline allotted, and that each client needs help learning about the market, neighborhoods, etc. From baby-boomers wanting to downsize to professionals looking for their first homes to families relocating to Dallas, Gailya is a good fit for clients who value privacy, communication, and a talented negotiator.
Gailya's areas of focus include University Park, East Dallas (Lakewood, M Streets, Hollywood Heights, Henderson corridor), Highland Park, Preston Hollow, Uptown/Downtown, and Turtle Creek.
Gailya is a mother and grandmother. When not working, she is an avid cyclist and yogi. She and her husband, Jerry, live happily in East Dallas.
