Alex Weiner was formerly associated with a boutique real estate firm in Chevy Chase, MD and is comfortable in the suburbs as well as the city. She spent her early 20s working for the National Trust for Historic Preservation near Dupont Circle. Switching to law in the mid-1980s, Alex managed complex litigation cases over the next 10 years for law firms in San Francisco, New York and Dallas. She learned that planning ahead and attention to detail are all-important in any transaction.
Along the way, Alex and her husband Mark have lived in various apartments and a condo, built two houses and renovated their current home in Chevy Chase, MD from the inside out. Alex loves the historical perspective of real estate in the DC metropolitan area –not only the period details of the homes but the fascinating history of all the individual neighborhoods that make this such a wonderful place to live. She serves on the Board of the Chevy Chase Historical Society, edits the Society’s quarterly newsletter and enjoys the company of like-minded history buffs. Alex is also an avid skier, traveler, yoga practitioner and wine collector.
With three boys off to college, Alex , Mark and their Welsh Corgi Ginger are searching for a “diamond in the rough” — a home with an interesting past and personality that needs some TLC and thoughtful renovation. “Helping our clients experience the absolute thrill of finding their own perfect house is what I enjoy most about real estate,” says Alex.
