David joined Compass in 2019, where he brought his Team, the Centurion Group, from Sotheby’s International Realty to leverage the unsurpassable technology and marketing support provided by Compass. David began his real estate career in 2002, specializing in multi-unit investing and management, while serving as an active duty Army officer. He began practicing real estate full time in 2016 upon retiring from the Army. His military precision in communication, with attention to detail deriving from his experience as a five-tour combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan, and as a military contracting professional for the Army, which translates into an effective consultation experience for all clients. Decades of military courtesy and automatic obedience to authority has produced in David a smooth combination of pleasant courtesy tempered with an unwavering moral compass. He adroitly switches between being a Buyer’s Consultant, to a Listing Salesman as needed to serve his client in a fiduciary role.
David is the only realtor from the DC region who regularly conducts buyer/investor Seminar in East Asia to actively seek buyers for the DC market. This is possible because his family currently resides in Tokyo, where his wife is a practicing diplomat. With his growing team, backed by Compass technology, he is able to serve his clients while traveling, and has indeed closed many deals in DC while in Asia.
