Eric’s goal in every transaction is to provide his clients with an experience that is fun, and above all, highly personal. Over the years, he’s developed close friendships with his clients, many of whom he’s guided through multiple home sales and purchases. As Eric himself says, “my clients are my family. This is very personal to me; it’s not just a transaction.”
Named one of DC’s Best Agents and Top Producers by Washingtonian Magazine, Eric has over 10 years of real estate experience and has sold over $100M in sales volume. Eric has represented many different transactions, from the purchase and sale of single-family residences, to listing and selling luxury condominiums, and everything in between. He has developed unparalleled insight into the neighborhoods he serves, from Capitol Hill, to the surrounding areas of Petworth, Logan Circle and U Street, as well as Northern Virginia and Maryland. Eric’s diverse experience and knowledge in both new home sales and the resale market allows him to counsel his clients on innovative marketing strategies and provide unparalleled market insights for every kind of project.
Prior to real estate, Eric was an Air Force Officer. He purchased his first home at age 23 and would go on to sell that home and purchase another in DC while on active duty. He has worked at the U.S. Department of State, where he became attuned to the needs of families being transferred all over the world for new postings and assignments. His current State Department clients have asked him to both scout homes, sometimes doing video teleconferences walking clients through prospective homes, or handle the sale of their home while abroad, entrusting him to orchestrate every aspect from renovations and staging, to listing the property.
Eric also has a passion for design, which enables him to advise clients on various opportunities for their property—a banquette could go in the bay window of a Petworth row house; an aging screened porch could be converted into a sunroom at an Upper Northwest home; a bathroom and kitchen could come alive with new paint and updated countertops at a residence on Capitol Hill. These strategic recommendations empower Eric’s sellers to get the maximum value for their home, in addition to providing buyers with a glimpse into what a space could become.
In his free time, Eric supports Unite Foundation, a charity dedicated to youth development in Togo that one of his clients and close friend—a Peace Corps veteran who worked in that African region—is passionately involved with. Closer to home, he supports SAGE, which advocates and provides services for LGBT seniors.
When not advising clients on their real estate purchase or sale, or giving design advice, Eric and his partner, Matt, can be found on the streets of Capitol Hill with their chocolate lab, Abbey, or exploring the DC food scene. Eric also is a passionate cook in his own right and loves cooking for family and friends.
