A long real estate career that includes extensive work both in commercial and residential sales is rare, but Matt McCormick's qualifications are not typical.
Matt's role as Senior Sales Associate at Washington Fine Properties was the culmination of over 30 years of professional experience in residential and commercial real estate combined with a love of the Washington, DC area.
Having been schooled in real estate at a young age thanks to his family's involvement in real estate in the Chicago area, Matt was first licensed as a broker in the early 80s after graduating from Tulane University in New Orleans. He began his career at Coldwell Banker Commercial in their DC office as a retail leasing specialist. After four years there, Matt joined Charles E. Smith, one of DC's premier commercial development and management firms, as theirVice President of Retail Leasing. For the next 26 years at CES, Matt served in various senior level positions, including Executive Vice-President of Residential Services and the Chief Marketing Officer for Archstone-Smith, a national REIT with a market capitalization of over $12 billion.
In 2004 Matt joined Washington Fine Properties, where he quickly became a sales leader within the firm. The Wall Street Journal has consistently recognized the Morrell-McCormick-Roth Team as one of the "Top 100 Agent Teams" in America. Matt, along with his business partners Ellen Morrell and Ben Roth, consistently do over $100 million in sales annually, specializing in the "upper-bracket" market in Northwest Washington, Northern Virginia, and Montgomery County, Maryland.
