A chance meeting on social media brought Earl and Pamela Regan--Compass agent in Santa Barbara--together during a business trip to Los Angeles in 2014. After a year of transcontinental travel the two were married; after another year of transcontinental business travel, Earl decided to leave a 30-year career in advertising and brand strategy to spend time with the love of his life in Santa Barbara and devote his energies to her practice in real estate.
Earl’s career in advertising includes tenures with a Wall Street Journal property, a major creative advertising agency, and partnership in an agency start-up. Later Earl founded Plannerzone, a brand strategy firm with a focus on consumer insights. Over the years Plannerzone clients included major US brands including Apple, Nike, Aflac, New York Times, Ameriprise, NYSE, Frito-Lay, Proctor and Gamble, Microsoft, Hasbro, Verizon, Dell, The Royal Bank of Canada, and Toyota.
Joining Pamela, he brings the rigor of modern marketing science to bear on today’s real estate practice. His focus includes strategic use of digital media including social and mobile media driven by consumer insight into the home buyer’s and home seller’s journeys.
Earl is an avid cyclist and a new convert to trail running in the Los Padres National Forrest. He enjoys photography and the cinema and looks forward to the Santa Barbara Film Festival. Earl lives on the Riviera with Pamela and their dog Oliver.
