In 1998, armed with a Master of Architecture degree from UC Berkeley, a decade as a marketing consultant for design firms, five years as an independent fine artist and mother to two young boys, Jeanine leaped into the world of real estate. She started her Realtor® career in Lafayette and Orinda, moved to Oakland/Berkeley, and now is expanding her business to include the Sacramento region. She loves the diversity of Northern California and is continually awed by the variety of homes and humanity here. Over the past 20 years, she has sold hundreds of homes in the East Bay, North Bay, Sonoma, Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Sacramento.
Jeanine has been called unconventional, unpretentious, and quirky. She is a sucker for unique homes and it shows in her enthusiasm with buyers and sellers of these special properties, whether they be ultra-modern, vintage or mid-century in style. Being trained as an architect provides her with skills to help buyers determine a home’s potential and see beyond paint colors or layout to find if a property has ‘good bones’ and is a good value. This expertise has also honed her ability to assist sellers throughout the preparation required to put their homes on the market and get the highest possible price in the least amount of time.
Being a visual artist herself, she is especially drawn to assisting other artists and creative types who value the out-of-the-ordinary.
