"As a first time homeowner, I did not know what to expect when entering this process. Kara was so kind and patient with me. She explained every detail in full, and her knowledge of Philadelphia real estate is unmatched. Not to mention, she is a ton of fun to work with! I have nothing but the best things to say about Kara, and I recommend her 100%!"
"If you are looking for a real estate agent, I would highly recommend Kara Markley. Kara helped me buy my first home and was there for me the WHOLE time. A true professional, she laid out the process and guided me through it. She paid attention to what I was looking for and always kept me in the loop. She is patient, understanding, and supportive. During the intense times of the pandemic, she was there with me even until closing. Enthusiastic and positive, she is always happy to help."
"Kara truly put her Mark on our transaction. From the very beginning Kara went out of her way to walk us through the beginning stages of prepping the house. During the showings, Kara continued to show her professionalism as she guided us through closing in these crazy times. Although we were not present at the closing Kara never left us in the dark and we appreciated every text, email and phone call. Kara Markley Rocks!!!"
"Working with Kara was a great experience. As a first time home buyer, I had a lot of questions and Kara patiently and kindly walked me through each of them and helped me navigate an unfamiliar process in a way that made everything really easy. We ended up finding something fairly quickly and Kara made sure it all fell into place seamlessly!"
"PHENOMENAL! Working with Kara was a great experience from the beginning! I never felt pressured at any point and her patience working with me could not be compared. She was able to learn everything I wanted in a very short time, went to work and found a perfect match for me. As a first time home buyer, the process was quite complicated and Kara guided me throughout. I could not recommend a more dedicated agent/friend."
Kara graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in Economics and worked for over 16 years as an economist in the Federal government. Her work with labor market statistics sharpened her expertise in trend analysis and data visualization, as well as her knack for simplifying and distilling information, all incredibly valuable skills she puts to work daily in the data-driven world of real estate.
Living in Philadelphia and working there for 16 years, Kara knows the city and its neighborhoods, particularly South Philly, very, very well. She currently lives in Passyunk Square, and would be as eager to provide a dinner recommendation as to show you a house! Kara also has practical experience with finding and analyzing investment properties, small- and large-scale renovations and being a landlord in Philadelphia.
Kara’s greatest passions are homes, dogs, and finding homes for dogs. Kara and her rescue dog, Atlas, frequently foster dogs on their way to their furever homes,’ she is on the board of the Young Friends of PAWS, and leads annual marketing and outreach campaigns for Philly Loves PAWS and The Mutt Strut. She also chairs the Passyunk Square Civic Association’s Step of the Month program, recognizing beautiful home fronts in the neighborhood!
In her free time, Kara loves hiking in the woods, biking around Philly, paddleboarding at the beach, crafting home decor out of repurposed materials (ask about her log tables), and looking at real estate!
