"In the middle of January I had the perfect buyer for Karen's coop listing at 200 Atlantic Ave. in Lynbrook. I had asked her when she would be showing as I was under the weather, later to find out it was actually covid and hit me hard and fast. I wanted to coordinate with my team member to take our buyer to see it. Right away, Karen had offered to let the buyer in as she lived in the building and said not to worry, just focus on getting better. My buyer fell in love and we made an offer that night. Karen offered to help in any way she could so I could rest. She checked in on me daily, mind you, Karen does not know me, yet treated me with such compassion and so quick to offer help. For the appraisal, she knew it was my first day back to work and a further drive for me and offered to take care of it. I thankfully was able to make it, but I knew if I couldn't, there was nothing to worry about because Karen would take care of it.
I told Karen I will never forget everything she did during such a difficult time for me. Her willingness to help without question or guilt, her compassion, and communication to let me know that things were moving forward went above and beyond! Over the last 3 years especially, we have seen so many agents losing their patience in this market and becoming less than pleasant to work with. Karen and I both agreed that the best way to make a transaction move forward smoothly is by working together, as a team, and making it enjoyable for everyone. Karen is not only a beautiful human being, but an exceptional agent!

"My name is Stacey and I am currently working with Karen Elefante to secure a co-op in Hewlett. I am in contract, awaiting board approval.
I had been a title closer, a bank closing representative, a mortgage loan originator, as well as an office manager for both my father’s and my husband’s real estate law practices. During this time period, I purchased two homes. To say the least, I am very well-versed in real estate. My father taught me the business from top to bottom. His most important lesson was that working with the best would ensure the best outcome. After my father’s passing in 2011, I was “alone” in the real estate world and, in turn, I decided to change career paths and set my sights on a different interest.
In the past year, I found myself unexpectedly in need of a realtor, as the apartment I’d been living in for 15 years had been sold to large corporation who, with intentions to renovate, is in the process of vacating the current tenants. Having been so far removed from the “real estate world,” I felt lost, until I remembered my friend Karen Elefante. I remember when Karen put up her first open-house sign while I watched her daughter Leah. I saw Karen build up her business and, before long, she knew as much about real estate as I did. Though, we had lost touch for a few years, I knew when I was in need of an agent, that Karen was the person to call.
Working with Karen has streamlined the immensely stressful process of moving. From the start, Karen has guided me in the right direction, never pushing nor pressuring me in any way. She allowed me time to think about the listings and the decisions we were to make regarding each one. We saw many listings, with none feeling quite right for me and I began to feel frustrated. Karen was the calming force that helped me persevere. When I finally found “the one” she went above and beyond to secure documents from the seller’s attorney and acted as an intermediary when the listing agent was not responding to repeated calls. As Karen is knowledgeable about the particular co-op organization with which I am currently in contract, I gave permission to my attorney to work closely with Karen, leading to a nuanced contract that clearly stated my terms. The last step of the process is in the hands of the co-op board.
I can honestly say that every buyer or seller should be as well represented as I was with Karen as my agent. She is truly one of the most knowledgeable agents in real estate I have ever met, and I have met many in my years in the business.
I am sure you are aware of the gem that is Karen Elefante. She is an asset to any group she would be a part of. I noticed in my dealings with Karen that whenever we would meet other agents and brokers, they all knew her well, and if they did not, she was immediately well received. I felt proud that she was standing by side.
