Kelli Macatee

Kelli Macatee is an Associated Broker with Compass and has spent the last seven years specializing in the DFW residential luxury market, serving all price points. Luxury is a state of mind with the last true luxury being superior service built on a foundation of competence, confidence, and experience. Her attention to detail and intrinsic drive to exceed all barriers, combined with her desire to fiercely protect the interests of her clients set her apart. This set the stage for her to close over $41 million in deals between 2018 and 2023. Kelli was recruited to Compass in 2019 and became the founding Principal of The Macatee + Wells team, at one time managing 6 agents. In 2023, she began consulting with the Danuser Rado Group as Director of Operations, which allowed her to support top producing agents to exceed their highest numbers to date by $50 million. She is beyond excited to join the best of the best in sales leaders on the brokerage side of this very special industry. Kelli firmly believes Compass is the future of global luxury real estate and loves pouring into agents in order to help equip them to pour into their clients. 

Born in Odessa, Texas, Kelli’s West Texas values of hard work, grit, and perseverance combined with her deep love for the land and the people who inhabit it are her passion. At an early age, she watched her family develop restaurants, apartments, houses, and churches during one of the oil booms, contributing to a thriving, growing community. Later, she watched her mother get started in land development in the Fort Worth area with many of the same players and become a part of over $625 million in very cool real estate projects that continue to serve North Texas populations. Kelli’s family moved to the Park Cities when she was 4 and she grew up playing soccer and other sports all over the DFW metroplex. She has watched the DFW area grow from a small town, surrounded by prairie and ranch land into a booming metropolis as far as the eye can see. The growth and prosperity of the area and helping people find their place in the world of DFW is one of her greatest joys. 

Graduating the University of Georgia in 2001, Kelli spent the first part of her professional career in marketing, sales, and business development and in 2007 she pursued a master's degree in clinical psychology. In 2010, she began helping her husband run his technology services company, which is where she initially saw the great value of open source technologies and how powerful they are in the hands of driven, motivated humans. Ultimately, she couldn’t resist the pull of real estate and got her official start helping her mother as an unlicensed assistant. Once Kelli’s daughter started kindergarten at Armstrong Elementary in 2016, her and her husband’s alma mater, Kelli pursued her license and ultimately obtained her Broker’s license in 2021. She loves her family, people, nature and animals, reading (particularly history!), researching and studying, as well as being active in exercise and other activities such as golf and tennis as time allows!
