This was the largest and most important financial transaction of my life, and having Ken walk me through it was unbelievably helpful and reassuring. Ken helped my wife and I buy our first home. He was very low pressure - we first met him a year before we ended up buying and had a nice chat, but at the time we were not ready. We ddin't get a lot of junk mail from him, or other high pressure tactics. When we came back he was happy to help.
He seems to have been around for a long time. He knows a lot about the local market, and he knows a lot people that can make the whole process easier. He was able to put us in touch with trades to get estimates on repairs before we bought (our place needed a new furnace and windows, and the estimates we got through Ken's guys were right on).
The closing process will never be easy, but Ken made it as painless as possible. He is incredibly responsive and detail oriented.

Ken began his career in real estate due to his experiences in buying and selling homes while being transferred around in the corporate world. Each time, he was disappointed in the different agents’ knowledge, service, and follow-through. He thought that there was something lacking in the approach of these agents in that none of them really went above and beyond to help him achieve his goals. Ken thought that if he were in the real estate business, he could really stand out as someone that took that service to a new level. In 1998, he decided to get his real estate license and learn everything he could about the buying and selling of homes to be of the greatest benefit to clients.
