"A man should always be as good as his word". My grandfather gave me that piece of advice when I was a young boy and that's a lesson I've kept close to my heart throughout my life. Honesty, integrity, and a passion for helping those around me, are all values I strive to perfect each and every day in pursuit of "the good life". At home, work, with family, friends, clients, associates, and generally everyone I meet in the course of my day, I'm continually working to live up to my values and actively looking for ways to better those around me and give them maximum value, whether it be a monetary value as a client's agent in real estate where I can put maximum cash into their pocket at the end of a deal through superior negotiation skills, or as an acquaintance, friend, or family member offering my support to those around me in my personal life . I'm always looking for ways to make the lives of those around me better.
As a young man growing up in small town Tennessee, I started my first job at the age of 12 working on the neighbor's farm. From herding the cows, to clearing the rocks from the hay fields, to lifting and stacking the bales of hay in the barn when the time came to harvest, all of the duties of my first job were united by one thing. It was all very hard work for a 12-year-old boy who was a little on the small side. I stuck with it though and refused to give up. It eventually got easier. Of the many lessons I learned from that first work experience the most life changing was learning how to work hard.
It is a lesson that has served me well over the years. My dedication to hard work led me through earning a degree in Film from UCF, into the freelance TV and Film industry in Orlando FL, and all the way out to LA where I worked as a Production Coordinator for TV in the very competitive LA entertainment market. While working as a Coordinator, I developed a high level of professionalism in my dealings with talent, and honed and perfected my negotiating skills through my interactions with the local vendors.
After some happy years in the Entertainment industry I realized it was time to make a change. I wanted a path that would better fit the family life that my wife Sarah and I were looking to build. We wanted a career that would encourage lasting friendships in the community, give me flexibility of schedule not only to start a family but to be able to spend quality time together, would provide the kind of income we had grown accustomed to, and most importantly I wanted it to be something that made people's lives better.
Real estate was the answer we came up with, and in 2014 I started my new career. It was the right choice then and if anything, it's even more the right choice now. I've had the honor of helping people make some of the most daunting financial decisions they will make in their lifetimes over the last few years. Buying or selling a home is the largest financial decision most of us will make in our lifetimes. It is a special and sacred thing for a client to trust you with such a monumental decision and a great agent should understand how profound that trust really is and reward that trust by making it their mission to provide their clients with only the very best service possible, in return. The very best service means completing a sale or purchase on the client's timetable, offering the very best insights into price and strategy, negotiating at the very highest level, putting the most money possible into my client's pocket at the end of the deal, and most importantly it means that the client and their needs are always of utmost importance and always come first.
As your Compass associate, I am committed to earning, developing, and validating your trust by delivering the highest quality service, care, and negotiating expertise in what will likely be the largest purchase you will make in your life. I am an honest and dedicated professional, I care deeply about the welfare of my clients, and I am looking forward to doing business together.
