Shann Silver

Shann Silver is an Associate at Compass and a key member of the Pence Hathorn Silver Team, a Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends nationally-top-ranked team that has become synonymous with Santa Monica real estate. While born in South Africa, Shann grew up on the sparkling Malibu coast. She offers an intimate knowledge of L.A.'s varied micro-markets and, with ten years of real estate practice, has an accomplished acumen in brokering transactions and negotiating for buyers and sellers.

With both her mother and brother as mentors, Shann joined the Pence Hathorn Silver Team in 2010 by virtue of the camaraderie amongst Compass associates, as well as their cutting-edge approach to home-selling. In today's market, Shann finds it crucial to be conversant in modern technology. She strives to go above and beyond for each and every client to ensure a lasting relationship, a facet of her career in which she places the utmost value.

Subsequent to graduation, Shann initially worked in entertainment for both Fox and Disney, a venture that refined her people skills, marketing prowess and knowledge of contracts. Still, having grown up with a mother in westside real estate, Shann was always well-acquainted with the practice and believes she was destined to succeed in the same field—it was simply a matter of time.

When not representing her clients in the buying and selling of real estate, Shann can be found at home in Santa Monica spending time with her family or practicing various sports including skiing, tennis, yoga and scuba diving. Involved with various Santa Monica school charities and fundraisers, in addition to Compass' charitable partners, she is a key player in various Los Angeles causes. A travel enthusiast, Shann hopes to explore Thailand and Bali in the near future, among countless other destinations.
