About Laura
A third-generation real estate broker, Laura has been licensed in the Washington DC metro area for 27 years. She began her career in commercial real estate then transitioned into residential in 2005, and has closed over $850 million in real estate transactions. She has lectured on Real Estate Investment and Marketing at her alma mater, Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, has been interviewed about the Washington market by The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal, and has published articles about the DMV market. She has been recognized consecutively by "Trulia" and "Realtrends" as one of the top real estate agents in America, and by Washingtonian Magazine as one of “the top 100 people you need to know in Washington Real Estate.”
Laura donates 10% of her income to her favorite charities (primarily those that support education in Washington's most underserved communities) and has served as the Co-Chair of the Bishop Walker School Annual Dinner at the Washington National Cathedral from 2022 to 2024. She currently serves as the Parents' Association President of Saint Albans School in Washington DC, and on the Steering Committee of The Connelly School of the Holy Child in Potomac, Maryland.
Laura served on the Board of the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy from 2018-2020 and on the Board of the Steuart Family Council from 2017-2023.
She was President of the Washington Episcopal School Parents Association from 2015-2018, and was a six-year member and Trustees Chair of the Board of Directors.
In the past, Laura has served on the Alumni Board of the Washington & Lee University DC Alumni Chapter, the Board of the Teen and Young Adult Health Connection of Montgomery County, and was a founding member of the nursery committee at Washington National Cathedral.
Laura lives in McLean, Virginia with her husband, two children, and two lab-mix rescues. When she is not working for and with her clients, you can find her volunteering at her children's schools and for her favorite causes.
