"Mary Craddock is a native Houstonian with a personal knowledge of 77019 and many other inside-the-loop or just outside neighborhoods! She is a real estate agent with great integrity, and married to an incredible ENT physician who also gardens extensively, and I mean food! Can’t go wrong with using Mary Craddock, who will lead you along the path to a new home painlessly and efficiently and with client advocacy!" - Robin
"Probably one of the most knowledgeable residential Agents in Houston. Her straight forward and professional demeanor should give comfort to anyone in the market for the right place to buy." - Chris
Real estate is a passion for Mary, a third-generation Houstonian. Mary’s great uncle founded the Houston Heights and she grew up in Boulevard Oaks and River Oaks. Hers is a first-hand understanding of the city’s most sought after neighborhoods including River Oaks, West University, and Tanglewood, and she has witnessed the evolution of up-and-coming neighborhoods in the Heights area, Montrose and Midtown.
Mary brings previous entrepreneurship experience to her residential real estate practice. She was the founder and director of Medical Communications Charts, Inc., a Houston firm that created educational and marketing products that linked the needs of pharmaceutical companies, patients and medical staff. Also, Mary is a commissioned artist with an eye for aesthetics, a highly useful accompaniment to her real estate skills. Last but not least, as a mother of six, she puts her highly-developed practical sense of how to make a house a home to excellent use as a REALTOR®.
“Helping my clients make a wise home sale or purchase decision requires hard work, commitment, and discretion,” Mary says. “I listen hard to understand clients’ real estate needs and goals, whether they are first-time homebuyers or established persons downsizing to a more manageable dwelling. After all, homes are most people’s major investment and I am dedicated to making my clients’ buy or sell process as financially and personally favorable as possible.”
Valedictorian of her class at Mirabeau B. Lamar High School, Mary graduated Phi Beta Kappa from The University of Texas at Austin and was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. She took her junior year abroad in Madrid, Spain where she became a fluent Spanish speaker. Mary earned a master's degree in medical and biological illustration from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD., and worked as a medical illustrator for the Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN. She returned to Houston in 1979 and continued her work as a medical illustrator for several Houston doctors.
Mary is a dedicated community activist and has served on several boards including Communities in Schools, Young Audiences, Kid’s Hope, Phi Beta Kappa Alumni, and others. She is a member of the Garden Club of Houston, The Junior League of Houston (sustaining), and St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. Her children attended St. John's School where Mary spent many hours as a volunteer and substitute teacher in art, Spanish and English classes.
A challenging real estate career keeps Mary busy, but she always makes time for her large family and friends. She plays tennis and golf and loves reading, painting and exercising at the Houstonian Club. Mary and her husband like to travel on those rare occasions when they find the time.
