Jason Cunningham is a Licensed Broker at Compass with over ten years experience in representing buyers and sellers in Boston and New York City, as well as being involved himself as an investor and property manager in several different real estate markets across the country. Jason joined Compass after spending the first part of his real estate career with Douglas Elliman.
Prior to joining the real estate world, Jason practiced as both a litigation and real estate attorney for over six years at the firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. Jason’s prior experience as an attorney enabled him to learn extensively about the art of negotiation, representation of a client’s best interests and left him with a superior knowledge of contract law. Jason graduated from Harvard Law School and prior to that from Georgetown University with a B.A. in English.
Jason has been involved in real estate for over a decade as both an investor and property manager. He has completed transactions of his own and has extensive experience in all aspects of the deal; specifically, he has completed numerous investment purchase and sale transactions, as well as several construction projects flipping properties after extensively renovating them. Jason has served as the property manager for his own investments and has an extensive knowledge of the real estate industry and countless professional contacts for his buyers or sellers, including real estate attorneys, tax and accounting professionals, mortgage specialists, contractors and sub-contractors, and property managers.
Born in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Jason attended boarding school locally at Phillips Andover Academy. He currently splits time between Boston and New York City and serves on the Board of Directors of his condominium. He is a member of the Georgetown University Real Estate Alliance and volunteers for Reading Partners Organization and The Legal Aid Society.
