For four decades, native New Yorker John Sheehan has been forging impressive expertise in both real estate and law. That solid background makes him an ideal guide in a process that can be overwhelming and complicated. As a residential broker, and a longtime investor himself, he takes great pride in confidently ushering clients to their real estate goals, whether they're first-time buyers or seasoned pros.
Prior to entering brokerage full-time, John worked in various legal roles, all of which involved real estate matters. The last 15 years of his practice was devoted almost exclusively to large foreclosure actions. Throughout his legal career he learned how to structure real estate transactions, draft and read documents, and most importantly, he saw the dozens of ways a deal can go wrong – and what to do about it.
John is licensed in both New York and Hawaii and has closed more than a quarter-billion dollars in transactions.
John earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from CUNY and his Juris Doctor from Fordham University Law School. He and his family were among Roosevelt Island's original residents in 1976, and he still considers the enclave a great hidden gem. In his free time, he loves to cook and travel.
