Following nearly twenty years as a practicing attorney and several years dedicating herself to family and community, Laurie has refocused her legal expertise, her passion for direct and meaningful work with clients, and her love for New York City into a rewarding second career.
Thanks to years practicing law in high pressure environments, Laurie is detail oriented and has strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills. Having provided legal counsel to both buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions, Laurie has a thorough understanding of the legal and financial implications involved in each transaction. In addition, as a trained mediator, Laurie has strong listening skills that help her identify the specific interests of her clients and creative problem-solving abilities that help bring parties together.
Laurie enjoys working with first-time buyers, as well as those with vast experience, to help them find the property that will achieve their goals. She brings to her work integrity, a tireless work ethic, and a natural ability to relate to all types of people. Laurie values -- and thrives at building -- lasting relationships based on trust, hard work, and discretion. Her genuine sincerity, natural empathy, and personal experience allow her to understand and address the many emotional, personal, and financial considerations that can arise during a real estate transaction. She is committed to ensuring that each client has a positive experience, and her down-to-earth demeanor make it a pleasure to work with her.
Born in New York City and raised in Maryland, Laurie received her B.A., cum laude, from Tufts University and her law degree from Boston University School of Law. Laurie is a long time resident of TriBeCa, where she lives with her husband, two children, and new puppy. For many years she has been an active volunteer in her children’s schools and is deeply involved on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Jewish Community Project of Lower Manhattan.
