As the son of a Brooklyn landlord, Michael Peguero has seen how re-development can change the face of a neighborhood for residents and small businesses alike. While most kids spent summers at camp, his childhood was spent cleaning hallways and visiting job sites--learning building management from the inside.
Michael has taken part in real estate transactions for over 17 years, earning his real estate license during college, and working alongside his father at a family-owned agency. After graduation, he moved on to the commercial real estate lending division at Washington Mutual, and then Chase after their 2009 merger. In late 2010 he returned to the family firm to implement new operations strategies, as well as to head investment sales, commercial leasing, and portfolio management. Recently he has also taken on the role of investor, repositioning and developing a Harlem SRO into luxury rental units. At Compass, Michael looks forward to integrating their industry-leading technology to disrupt Brooklyn's current commercial real estate landscape.
