If anyone was born to sell real estate in New York City, it is Reggie Grayson. The Huntsville, Alabama native can trace his interest in New York City back to middle school, when he used to send notes to class mates, appending a fictitious Park Avenue home address. Clearly, it wasn’t just New York in general that piqued his interest, but the very best New York had to offer! His early fascination with New York and all things urban eventually led Reggie to earn a BS degree in Urban Planning. Upon graduating, he won a coveted spot in the New York City Urban Fellows Program, a highly competitive public sector fellowship that became his ticket to New York.
Over the ensuing two decades, Reggie has worked in fields as varied as banking, economic development, fundraising, and property management and has developed a reputation as a creative, do-what-no-one-else-could-do manager. Transferring his skills to real estate, Reggie has achieved tremendous success for his clients. Especially in today's competitive market, Reggie measures success not just by finding a buyer or seller, but by his ability to keep deals from falling through. Reggie offers an innate intuition about the transactional process, which has allowed him to save deals from falling apart on multiple occasions. His protectiveness, attentiveness, and advice are what set Reggie apart from other brokers. He attributes his sound business acumen to having run his own company. "About nine years ago I co-founded a special events company, he shares. “ As an entrepreneur, you have to be self-motivated, and do things you've never done before, like negotiate a commercial lease or build an IT infrastructure - and all this while keeping a laser-like focus on the needs of your clients. I loved that process of helping clients define their goals, but the real challenge – and the real joy – was managing all the minutia and overcoming all the obstacles involved in bringing a client’s goal to reality. That's also the essence of what I do in real estate."
Reggie holds an MBA in Finance and an MS degree in Real Estate Development and Investment, both from New York University, and carries a Certified Negotiation Expert (CNE) designation, a title which only 1% of agents in the nation hold.
