Ginger Karels has been a successful Realtor since 1978. She joined Hill & Co in 2007, which has since merged with Compass. A native of Minnesota, raised on a wheat farm in a beautiful old house her Grandfather had built, Ginger pursued her education in Minnesota, Hawaii, and California.
Armed with a degree in education and psychology she served in the Peace Corps as a math teacher in Micronesia, as well as teaching in Australia. After graduate work at the University of Minnesota, and more traveling, she moved to San Francisco in 1975.
She lives in Noe Valley. Her husband, Dave Cannata, passed away in '08. She has one daughter and one son both in their twenties.
Her hobbies include biking, camping, surfing, kayaking, gardening, singing in St. Philip’s choir, and traveling (mostly to Maui) where she has a second home.
