University of Wyoming, Bachelor of Science
A member of the Doug Leibinger Team, Colorado-native Stephen Leibinger has long been captivated by
the Aspen lifestyle and magic of the Rocky Mountains. With the world-class skiing, fly fishing and
immediate access to the backcountry, Steve was drawn to all the opportunities the Aspen area has to
offer. He firmly believes in the value of the natural landscape and the value of owning real estate in the
west. Steve is excited to share his love of the western mountains with clients while working through a
close relationship of professionalism, communication and trust.
After graduating with honors from the University of Wyoming (’94) with a Bachelor of Science degree
specializing in environmental sciences, Steve discovered Aspen where he began his first career as a
successful fly-fishing guide and outfitter in Colorado and then later in Bozeman, Montana. His time on
the water provided him a vast knowledge and appreciation of the Rocky Mountain’s trout waters and
the land they influence.
Steve first entered the real estate arena in 2004 working with Coldwell Banker specializing in residential
and fishing properties in Bozeman. He further diversified his real estate background brokering high-end
properties in Aspen, Colorado where he worked for the Ritz Carlton Company and later for Timbers
Resorts representing exceptional international resort properties. He most recently contributed his
talents to the premier ranch real estate firm of Swan Land Company where he guided buyers and sellers
through the often complicated purchase and sale of working ranches and large recreational ranch
properties. Regardless of the property type, clients continue to appreciate Steve’s amiable personality,
attention to detail and true professionalism throughout the transaction process.
Steve is honored to be able to bring his diverse real estate talents to the Doug Leibinger Team, Aspen’s
#1 team with over $180 Million in Sales in 2017 and 2018. Licensed in both Colorado and Montana,
Steve can assist buyers and sellers with their piece of Rocky Mountain paradise be it for residential,
retreat, recreation or ranching livelihood.
In his spare time, Steve will most likely be found flyfishing to rising trout, skiing or pursuing elk in the
backcountry somewhere near Basalt where he lives with his wife Annie, daughter and always well-
behaved golden retriever.
