"When we needed to sell our parents home of 37 years in Fredericksburg, we contacted every real estate agency in town give each an opportunity and allow us to "interview" each for the best fit. Each sent an agent, and each provided an overall appraisal of the property and what they would do to sell it. We were fortunate that Wendy Hearn was the agent Nixon Real Estate sent to meet with us. Although she was at an event in town when the agency contacted her, she took the time to contact us, set up a meeting later that day, and do some preliminary research. All the agents we met with did an appraisal and basically told us what they would list the property for. Wendy did the most extensive review of the property and was the best prepared. She also asked that we meet again with her the following morning to allow her time to do more research. We agreed, and when Wendy came back she had spent several hours on a detailed analysis and marketing plan, told us what had in mind, and listened to our thoughts.
