There is a privacy fence around the yard for your pets. It was the first or one of the first to be built in the Beautiful Mancos Valley. The year was 1890 and it still has some of its original beauty. If you own or have a desire to own livestock it would be a terrific place for them and there are still corrals on the property. In the past, we rented some of the land to individuals that had a tiny house and a rv in the back. If you decide to rent out the land the income received would most likely cover a sizeable portion of your mortgage. There are lots of options for the land. There is a large workshop behind the house and It dates back to the days of the railroad in our area. It could be used for a garage, studio, storage or keep it as a workshop. We are within walking distance to the Mancos downtown and we are 29 miles one way to the neat town of Durango, Colorado. What the seller loves about this home

I love living in the Mancos Valley in Southwest Colorado. Our house was built in 1890 and it is quite the charmer. We are within walking distance of the neat,quaint town of Mancos and 29 miles to the college town of Durango, Colorado. I love all the activities in our area. This includes great hiking, horse back riding, water sports, fishing, sight seeing,visiting National Parks in the area and the natural beauty of the area. Each morning and evening I enjoy sitting on the back deck and watching the variety of interesting bird life. The yard has plenty of trees, wildfowers, ponds, and the views are truly beautiful! We have one neighbor to the east and one to the south. The majority of the 100 acres of which we own, three is used for growing hay. It is a very peaceful place to be..and so many more opportunities for the property... I will be adding new pics as we are finishing the painting of the interior. House will be shown in several weeks around early August.
