Spring showcases hot days and comfortable nights. The humidity stays at bay making outdoor activities fun and pleasurable. Even in this tropical setting, spring brings about new life and blossoms. Spring is a popular time of year to be here.
Summer brings the most sultry days of the year befitting life in the tropics. Almost on cue, afternoon thunderstorms are a regular occurrence but are short-lived. Temperatures hover in the high 80s while the sun stays out to play for up to 13 hours.
Fall initially feels identical to summer but gently eases the heat, making the mornings and evenings more pleasant to enjoy outdoor dining and activities. September/October are typically the most active portion of hurricane season, but don’t let this sway you. Most commonly, these storms are comparable to “nor’easter” snow storms that occur along our northern seaboard (although not as frequent!). We stay in, wait out the storm, then get to work cleaning up.
Winter, our peak season, comes with a large uptick of visitors to enjoy the mild weather. Average temperatures are in the mid 70’s with periodic cold fronts dropping into the 60s. Lots of sun and minimal rain make it the optimal season to enjoy all kinds of outdoor recreational activities.
