“I think wildlife is when the universe gently places her hands upon your shoulders, pulls you close, and whispers in your ear: I’m not screwing around. It’s time." -Brene Brown

Since I was a little girl, I knew that I had “it.”

What does that mean? To this day, I can’t fully describe this, but I still know. ‘It” can look like a lot of things. The determination to succeed, the drive to always find a way when there isn’t a clear path, the ability to understand people and read a room in a nano second. To be able to make someone you have never met feel comfortable in just a few words or an athletic ability that comes so naturally, it's hard to imagine why other people have to work so hard to do the same thing.

I don’t think what sets me apart from other people is that I have “it.” I believe the reason I know in my gut that I have “it” is because I have always chosen to take action. If I feel like someone could use a compliment or a hug, I will approach them and serve it up on a silver platter. If I get a sudden urge to help someone in need, I do it. I don’t think about if it is the right thing, enough or if they will really like it. I just do it.

Guess what?? YOU have “it” too. How many times have you gotten a sudden urge or feeling that you should say something, stick up for someone, push yourself to find a way when everyone says there is no way? Pay attention to IT. You have it and the universe is continually placing her hands upon your shoulders to tell you its time. Your gut doesn’t lie, listen and get to it.

Tea In The Neighborhood

Yesterday was a good sign...

...that real estate in Houston is beginning to thrive again. I hosted an open house in Spring Branch and had 12 groups of people come tour the home. The main thing to consider when listing is price. Even though the market is heating up again, buyers are being cautious and are careful to not overpay. If a home has been on the market for quite some time, looks great and is marketed well, the reason it hasn’t sold is PRICE. Ultimately, property is worth what someone is willing to pay for it at that time.

Currently I'm...

Lately, I have found myself wanting to learn new things. Reading books, watching documentaries and plain 'ole paying attention.

A few of my favorites so far are:

The Joy of Missing Out by Tonya Dalton. I've listened to the audiobook.

Option B by Sheryl Sandberg and Adam Grant.

13th, Netflix

Local Spotlight

This week, I am featuring someone extremely local. Like, he lives in my house local. At the young age of 21 and on the cusp of turning 22, my son has decided it is probably better to work and earn money than to be broke. LOL.

Griffin is a student at Texas A&M and is partnering with another student, Chase Woolsey, to do your heavy lifting. Literally.

Need something moved to storage, someone to help re-arrange your furniture, drop off items to be donated? Text or call Griffin at 713-679-8938
