When shopping for cars, the faster it can go from zero to 60mph, the better. When going from idea to execution, I am as fast as they come.
Admittedly, I LOVE change. It doesn’t always have to be a big change, even a small change can do the trick.
Last week, I decided to paint my bedroom black. I called my favorite painter and had him start the very next day. (The good thing about having painters in your house during quarantine, is that they already wear masks and you can’t be in the room being painted anyways.)
I used my Pinterest to find the perfect black paint color and was ready to go. Before starting my bedroom, I was pretty sure that I would have the entire house, (not including the kid’s bedrooms), painted black. I dribbled the idea out to my kids and they all had different reactions. I overheard Griffin, my 21yr old son, on the phone with his friend, saying, “dude, my mom is so bored that she is painting the whole inside of our house black!” Chloe, my 13yr old daughter, said “if you do that, I am never coming here again!” Well, guess what? She is still here.
To say that I love it, is an understatement. The new wall color makes my art pop more than it did on white walls, makes each room feel more special and gave me the satisfaction of change that I was craving.
I know that we are all feeling the drag of doing the same things, being in the same environment, and wearing the same drawstring pants! Maybe you just need to go all in and BLACK OUT!
