​​WESTPORT, CT - September 16, 2025 - Compass, Inc. (NYSE: COMP), the largest residential real estate brokerage in the United States and a leading tech-enabled real estate services company, announces that it has secured a lease to relocate its Westport office to a landmark building in the heart of downtown. The new office at 87 Post Road East opens in Spring 2026, placing Compass agents at the center of the community’s cultural, retail, and dining scene.

To be in a historic landmark alongside world-class brands as well as beloved local favorites is an extraordinary alignment for Compass and for Westport.”

Built in 1924 in the Classical Revival style, the building originally served as the Westport Bank & Trust Company and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Compass plans to preserve the building’s two interior murals by Westport artist Robert L. Lambdin and the original bank vault. 

More than 140 Compass agents will call the new office home, continuing to serve the real estate needs of Westport and surrounding communities. Many of these agents are longtime residents themselves, deeply connected to the neighborhoods and businesses that define Westport life. 

“Our new office will be more than a workplace,” Lowe added. “It will be a gathering place where clients and neighbors can feel the history of Westport, while also experiencing technology-enabled service, paired with the elite agent expertise that defines Compass.” 

The new location places Compass adjacent to local favorites like West, Bungalow, Catherine, and Lux Bond & Green, as well as global luxury brands such as Chanel and Tiffany & Co. Compass will continue to operate at its current office at 54 Wilton Road until the move is completed in Spring 2026.
