Compass in the News

*Austin Retreat*

Robert Reffkin, Founder & CEO:

“I felt the true magic of Compass as I spoke on stage in front of 2,300 agents and everyone who tuned in virtually at our #CompassREtreat for the first time in two years. We shared powerful new ways we’re investing in agents, showed first-hand how the Compass platform is evolving to help our agents grow their businesses more than ever before, and revealed a bit of what’s next for Compass in 2022. Thank you to Greg, Danielle, Rory and Neda for all of the passion and energy you brought to today's meeting and to our agents who give us inspiration and energy every day. Seeing all the smiling faces tonight was something I’ll never forget.”

More Quotes:

*"Compass' goal is to turn the process of buying or selling a home into something simple and pleasant for everyone - a simple, all-in-1 platform with the agent at the center."

*"Rankings are great but what is even more important is professionalism, ethics, collaboration and culture."

*"In Q3 2021, Compass agents did 3.5 times the sales volume of the average agent."

NYC Marathon - 50 Years Later.

For an event that has not been held for two years, there was massive interest but entries were restricted to 33K. A record 53K+ had finished the 49th race in 2019.

Read all about Larry Fastenberg and other stories HERE. Larry paid

$1 to race in the 1st-ever NYC Marathon in Central Park as a 16 YO in 1970 and was one of the 55 finishers from 127 starters. He is the sole competitor from that race to compete in this year's 50th.
My 2021 NYC Marathon

...experience was not quite so dramatic but enjoyable, nonetheless. I’ve been on the shelf for the last few years and barely running but I was very much involved from a different perspective - I volunteered and was stationed at Mile 18 passing out Honey Stingers in the afternoon when mere mortals will be passing by.

I enthusiastically cheered on my running brothers & sisters in an effort to get them to mile 26.2.

 What a blast!

On the way back from visiting Jane at college in Philly, we pulled into a rest stop somewhere in NJ. The pavement was badly chopped up, garbage strewn everywhere and metal guardrails were twisted in every direction.

Then I looked up and saw this:
