2025 Year END message

Thank you for a prosperous and healthy 2025.

My vision for Arrowood Advisory began with innovating and disrupting the traditional real estate model. To us, "advisory" begins well before a sale, and continues well after.

I am grateful for another successful year. Arrowood Advisory and our clients benefit from the power of the Compass platform, the #1 real estate brokerage and platform in the United States. We are privileged to deliver national reach and expertise through the specific, high-touch care of a boutique team.

We are proud to surpass $450,000,000 in career sales, but even prouder of the relationships our team has built and the lives we've impacted.

We'll take a break from our weekly newsletter over the Christmas and New Years weeks. January will come all too soon - with excitement and predictions for the year ahead. For now, I am looking forward to time in the Rocky Mountains with my family, and the chance to take my foot off the gas for a bit.

Borrower equity fell 2.1% in the third quarter of this year compared with the same period a year ago, about a $13,400 loss for the average home owner. Some in Boston, Chicago and New York, are still seeing home equity gains. (CNBC)
Researchers analyzed home prices for nearly 600,000 properties in Florida before and after sound barriers were constructed along busy highways: in the 5 years after noise barriers were built, the price of properties within 109 yards of a barrier saw a rise of almost 6.8% compared with homes in a control group. The barrier’s effect on property values declined with distance, the researchers found. They observed price increases of about 3.9% for homes located 109 to 218 yards from a newly constructed sound barrier, 3.1% for homes located 218 to 324 yards from a barrier and 2.8% for homes 300 to 400 meters from a barrier. Beyond those distances, there was little effect. (WSJ)
