Who is buying and selling in NYC?

Danny Strong Bought Andy Cohen's

West Village Duplex for $10.5M

Emmy‑winning playwright and screenwriter Danny Strong and his partner Caitlin Mehner purchased Andy Cohen’s longtime West Village penthouse duplex located at 2 Horatio Street for $10.5 million. The co‑op spans 3,500 square feet and includes 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.

The gut‑renovated pre‑war penthouse was assembled by Cohen over two decades in a classic Bing & Bing building, designed by architect Gordon Kahn with interiors by Eric Hughes. The duplex features 25 windows offering views of the Empire State and Chrysler buildings, two wood‑burning fireplaces, wide‑plank oak floors, and a sculptural walnut‑steel‑glass staircase linking two levels.

What is my favorite new development?

80 Clarkson

80 Clarkson is a 112-unit new development in the West Village. The building consists of two towers and offers residences ranging from two to seven bedrooms. Zeckendorf Development and Atlas Capital Group are developing the project, and COOKFOX Architects, Thierry W Despont, and M. Paul Friedberg and Partners are completing the design.

Located at West Street and Clarkson, a quarter of the residences feature outdoor space, and more than half have direct elevator access. Amenities include a fitness center with a spa, a lap pool, a restaurant with in-residence dining, a golf simulator, a sports court, a screening room, landscaped motorcourt, and much more.

Where to eat this month?

Sirrah

Sirrah, located in the Meatpacking District, offers a four-course prix fixe menu for $75. The experience follows a traditional French bistro format, beginning with an amuse bouche and bread service, followed by an appetizer, a main course, and dessert. Main course options include hanger steak, branzino, and lion’s mane mushrooms, each served with unlimited fries.

Lex Yard

Lex Yard, an American brasserie located in Midtown East inside the newly reopened Waldorf Astoria, spans two floors and is named for the Grand Central train depot beneath it. Helmed by a chef from Gramercy Tavern, the restaurant offers a seasonal prix fixe menu alongside à la carte options. Highlights include slow-poached halibut with borscht, red velvet soufflé tart, and a modern take on the classic Waldorf salad.

Samsaen

Samsaen, a Thai restaurant located in Hudson Yards near Penn Station, features a train station theme inspired by the chef’s childhood travels through Bangkok. The interior includes details like leather suitcases, reflecting the transport motif. The menu focuses on Thai street food, with dishes such as morning glory with crispy pork belly, fried garlic pork ribs, and pad thai with jumbo river prawns

Why is "Limewash" trending?

Limewash

Limewash is an increasingly popular home design trend, especially in bedrooms, where its soft texture and natural movement create a calming, elevated atmosphere. This finish adds depth and character to walls and ceilings, often making a striking impact when extended to the ceiling in a moody hue. Available in both neutral tones and bold colors, limewash offers a versatile and timeless aesthetic, with various application techniques allowing for subtle or dramatic effects depending on the desired look.
