Small Footprints, Big Potential

With housing costs continuing to rise and space at a premium, policy-makers in Massachusetts have identified some creative ways to more living in our communities more affordable. With the recent passage of the Affordable Homes Act, the state opened the door to more flexible living options through Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs)—those smaller, secondary homes tucked into backyards, basements, or above garages. Victims of Fire Need Your Help

On Sunday, August 10, 18 Somerville residents, including three children, were displaced by a fire on Powderhouse Boulevard. The Somerville Housing Authority is working swiftly to rehouse these residents, but your help is needed! Most of the residents have lost all or most of their belongings. If you are able, please donate to the Somerville Homeless Coalition’s Emergency Fund to both help them put their lives back together and to let them know their community cares. Donations of any size make a difference.
