March always feels like the month Marin awakes — longer evenings, hills turning green again, wildflowers adorning our hillsides, and people lingering outside. The farmers markets get busier, trailheads fill up, and yes… the open house signs multiply.
I’ve put together a quick look at what’s happening locally along with an update on rates and how the market is starting to move as we head toward spring. We’re seeing more listings come online and buyers are re-engaging.

| Feb 26th 2026 "Mortgage rates dropped again this week, now down to their lowest level since September of 2022. This lower rate environment is not only improving affordability for prospective homebuyers, it’s also strengthening the financial position of homeowners. Over the past year, refinance application activity has more than doubled, enabling many recent buyers to reduce their annual mortgage payments by thousands of dollars." (FreddieMac, 2026)
