Now that it's December, let's step back from the craziness of the day to day and take a macro look at this past year and into the future. Preparing a business plan for 2024 is crucial for achieving your goals and crafting strategies for success. Set some time aside to reflect on your business in 2023, and set goals for success in 2024! Book an appointment with yourself, brew some coffee or tea, and find a quiet corner to jot down some notes. |

| Go back to your business plan from last year and take a look at the goals you set for yourself. What goals did you achieve, and how did you do it? Think about any specific examples. What goals did you not achieve, and what did you learn from it? (i.e. Was it too broad? Any external factors that you couldn't control?) What obstacles did you encounter and how did you overcome them?

| Get back to basics and think about why you do what you do - why you chose this path. Understanding your "why" is about connecting with your values and motivations. |

Define Your Business Sources |
| Since real estate is a repeat and referral business, identifying where your past business came from is crucial for building a well-rounded marketing strategy. Review where your leads and business came from in 2023, and think about what this means for 2024. Here are some points to help guide you: Examples: past clients, agent referrals, farming, open houses, expired listings, online leads, SOI, client referrals In what ways do you reach out to your farm and keep in touch with your sphere of influence? Are there any niches that you are a part of that you can leverage?

|
| What was your greatest success of 2023? What are some gaps in your marketing plan from this past year that you want to address? Identify at least 3 things that you did consistently - how did they impact your business? List a few opportunities for growth in consistency. For example, if you want to be more consistent with client outreach look into signing up for an auto-gifting service like Client Giant to have a meaningful touchpoint with your VIP clientele. Determine which marketing channels (e.g., email marketing, social media, personal client outreach, phone calls, mailers) you used the most, and which were most effective. Are there any that you can shift away from?

Identify Your Target Market |
| What was your target market at the beginning of the year? Has it changed? Analyze and understand the preferences, needs, and pain points of your target audience. What valuable information are you providing your audience? What problem are you solving for them? Review what markets your business is coming from, and take a look at any opportunities for growth. If you already have client personas created, review them to make sure they are up to date.

Enhance Your Online Presence |
| First impressions count! If a potential client searched you on Google, would they be impressed? It's important to have updated and accurate information and headshots across all platforms. Use this document to guide your audit. Review your content on your social media profiles. Do you have any abandoned or rarely updated profiles? If so, consider downsizing and focusing on those profiles that you can realistically manage in a busy schedule. Important to note: be sure you're compliant online! Do you have your full name, DRE number, and COMPASS on all bios?

| Keep yourself on track to achieve your goals by scheduling a quarterly check-in with yourself to review your progress and asses your business plan. Life is constantly shifting and we can't control external factors on our plans - whenever you have a check-in, assess if you need to adjust any strategies.
Most importantly, remember to be kind to yourself! |
