Coloradoans understand first hand the devastation that wildfires bring.

I have had to evacuate my home and animals as wildfire scorched the edges of my neighborhood, I have prepared my children, packed my fire boxes and planned and practiced evacuation strategies. Nonetheless, I find myself shocked as I watch the news and see the images. What is happening in the Los Angeles area right now is unprecedented, unimaginable and truly heartbreaking.

Instead of a regular Ascend edition, I’d like to simply use this space to share places you can donate if you are compelled and able to help. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the living souls who are being deeply and profoundly affected by this natural disaster.
