ALOHA JUNE 2024!
Kilauea 101 | Sweet 16 | Lychees | Kona Joe
Graduation season ended and we are starting to see more visitors here. Summer in Hawaii is very comfortable. No 100 degree heat or humidity like some tropics. Perfect temperature and humidity. June kicked off with a very short volcano eruption. We received many question about safety so did little feature on our blog "Kilauea Volcano 101". Kilauea is located on the other side of the island and there are two 14,000 ft mountains in betweeen. It is very safe in West Hawaii.
YES! Hawaii has seasons. Maybe not as distinctive, but we are in summer fruit season, which is our favorite.
LYCHEES and MANGOES off the trees are amazing, and WHITE PINEAPPLES – Mmmm. You have to come to Hawaii to taste these fruits. Trust me, they’re incredible.
Sixteen years ago, my dauthger was born on Father's Day. This year we celebrated both days together by venturing out for her first long drive to Waimea. The farmer's markets there are amazing. Check out this month's video to see how she did driving up to cool 2,600 ft elevation, Waimea town. Very differnt from Kona!

Real Estate in News
Recently, Governor Josh Green signed SB2919 into law, a significant move that impacts how vacation rentals are regulated across the state.
SB2919 gives individual counties in Hawaii the authority to regulate vacation rentals. This means each county can now create and enforce its own rules and regulations regarding short-term rentals. The goal is to give local governments more control to address the unique needs and challenges of their communities.....
