Spain's Economy is Booming

How is Spain's economy growing rapidly, outstripping other European countries?  Strong tourism, heavy infrastructure investment, an increase in the renewable share in the electricity mix over the past 5-6 years has implied a drop of 40% in wholesale electricity prices, and the 90% of the increase in labor force has come from in migration:  While other European countries are closing their borders, Spain will welcome nearly a million migrants over the next 3 years, through work visa schemes and the granting of residence permits to undocumented workers. Constructing Pier 26

This VIDEO shows the extraordinary efforts to build a pier park on the Hudson River in September of 2020 - Pier 26. $37,7 million later...The pier is an ecosystem that includes a rocky salt marsh with tide pools, native plants and oysters with a deck over the area so people of all ages can watch how the habitat changed during high and low tide, as well as enjoy the beautiful views.

Compass Crushers Reach the Division Championship

We began the season with a slow start but then surged to victory with six consecutive wins, propelling us to the Division Championship Final. Despite our valiant efforts, we faced a tough loss. It was a thrilling and competitive year, and we are eager to make a return to the championship game in 2026!

Earlier this year, I was one of 120,000 hopefuls who entered the lottery for a chance to run my very first Chicago Marathon, and one of the 53,000 lucky participants to get in. So of course, I have to run it! The course starts and ends in Grant Park, winding through 29 neighborhoods with the energy of 1.7 million cheering spectators. It's been nearly 40 years since I last visited the Windy City - what a way to rediscover it! COURSE MAP.

On January 31st 2026, the first marathon is scheduled to begin at Ultima Basecamp (Antarctica) and is followed by marathons in Cape Town (Africa), Perth (Australia), Dubai (Asia), Madrid (Europe), Fortaleza (South America) and Miami (North America).
