Welcome, Fall

Fall is one of my most favorite times in Santa Cruz, it is warm, great bike riding weather! Do you like farmers' markets? The downtown farmer's market has moved; it is now on Cedar Street. What I love about the new location is that it is easier to get to all the vendors, and because it is on the street, the surface is more level and smoother just a more relaxing vibe too. The other location had different levels and surfaces. I spent more time watching where I was going than considering the produce, and the vendors were too spread out. Also, Friday nights at the Lighthouse have been fun too; sometimes there are food trucks and music. I highlighted some other events here. If you can get to the Seymour marine reserve tour, I recommend that. They do not do it very often. Fall is here, and the best part is Halloween, my favorite time of year! Talk soon!...

Why Staged Homes Sell Faster!

In my latest video, I share how staging can make a big difference when selling your home. Staged homes not only sell faster but often for more money because they create a stronger emotional connection with buyers. I explain how good staging highlights the best features of a property, makes rooms feel larger and brighter, and helps listings stand out online with more appealing photos. Even simple steps like decluttering, rearranging furniture for better flow, and adding fresh, neutral decor can have a powerful impact on first impressions and ultimately lead to better offers.

Santa Cruz County’s housing market is showing signs of stabilization. Interest rates recently dropped to their lowest point of 2025, boosting buyer confidence after a softer July. Demand remains strong due to limited inventory, desirable amenities, and motivated buyers. Sellers can benefit from competitive offers, while buyers should be prepared to act quickly when the right home appears. If economic conditions stay steady and Silicon Valley’s growth continues to influence the area, we can expect healthier market activity in the second half of 2025.
