My Go-To Mother’s Day Local Business: The Buttery Bakery |
| |
I love The Buttery for Mother’s Day! This is my go-to bakery. They changed hands a few years back, I think before COVID, and things were rough, but they have updated their bakery cases and their process for ordering and pick-up. They have the best cakes hands down, and I have a lot of them! Also, great cookies too. If you think Mom would like a treat, order it as soon as possible. Here is the link. I am partial to the lemon cake. |

Latest Market Report: Santa Cruz County |
| |
Despite recent global economic headlines and shifting interest rates, the Santa Cruz County real estate market is proving remarkably resilient as we head into the peak spring season.
We are seeing a significant "shrug-off" of earlier market volatility, with the number of new listings and homes going into contract climbing substantially since February. Demand remains particularly high in areas like Rio del Mar, Scotts Valley, and West Santa Cruz, and with a recent shift toward more positive economic indicators, buyer confidence is strengthening.
As we enter the second quarter - traditionally the most active time of year for both sales volume and median prices - now is an excellent time to strategize, whether you are looking to capture peak spring interest for your home or navigate the fresh inventory hitting the market. |
