Being a married for a year and some change, emphasis on the change, one of the things my wife and I have really been working on this year is being intentional of changing our conversations from “me” and “mine” language, to making everything “WE” & “OURS!” When we were dating, it was just her business, her goals, or my goals, but now we’ve been really intentional about it being “OUR” businesses, “OUR” goals, “OUR” home. While still maintaining our individuality and exuding in our strengths, it’s been easier to achieve goals together now having the same mission and the same purpose. Giving each other space to challenge and affirm each other in all areas, has really been in a game changer for our marriage vs not giving the other person the ability to help because it’s “mine.” |
