What I'm Seeing In the Market

The Bay Area real estate market is showing renewed momentum as we head further into the year. One notable trend is the rise of “boomerang listings”—homes that were taken off the market in 2023 or early 2024 and are now coming back on. With interest rates lower than they were last year and buyer confidence improving, many sellers across the Bay Area are re-listing with more realistic pricing and stronger presentation.

Lower interest rates have brought more buyers off the sidelines, leading to busier open houses and increased showing activity throughout the region. Despite this uptick in demand, inventory remains tight in many Bay Area communities, especially for well-priced, turnkey homes. This combination of low supply and renewed buyer activity is creating competitive situations in desirable neighborhoods, while still rewarding buyers who are prepared and strategic.
