| | | | Hi Friends!
Somehow, we have already reached the final weekend of July, but there is still plenty of summer left to enjoy along the coast. Between warm evenings, live music, farmers markets, and so much happening around town, it is a wonderful time to get out and enjoy our beautiful communities.
On the real estate side, buyers are beginning to see something they have been waiting for: more choices and greater flexibility in pricing. I’m sharing a timely article on what this shift could mean, along with this week’s Coastal OC Hot List of standout new listings.
For a little design inspiration, there is also a look at the 12 interior trends shaping homes in 2026. Some may inspire a larger project, while others are easy ideas to incorporate when refreshing a room.
I’m also sharing a piece of Coastal News that feels especially personal this week. Wind & Sea has announced it will close on September 15, and I have included a few thoughts about why this longtime Dana Point favorite holds so many wonderful memories for me and my family.
For the weekend, you will find Coffee and Cars in San Clemente, the Dana Point Farmers Market, and Concerts in the Park on Sunday. Whether you are in the mood for beautiful cars, fresh local finds, or music outdoors, there is something fun to enjoy.
I hope you find something inside that keeps you informed, inspires you, or gives you a good reason to get out and enjoy the weekend.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Fondly, Susan |

| Wind & Sea is closing..
One piece of local news that really caught my attention this week is that the iconic Wind & Sea Restaurant has announced it will be closing its doors on September 15 after more than 50 years in Dana Point Harbor. For so many of us, it's more than just a restaurant. It's a place filled with memories of celebrations, family dinners, and watching the boats come and go.
For me, the news is especially nostalgic. My older son, Ryan, worked at Wind & Sea as his very first job, and it always brings back great memories. It was also one of my parents' favorite places, and I took them there many times over the years. Those meals together overlooking the harbor are memories I'll always treasure.
As Dana Point Harbor continues its exciting transformation, saying goodbye to a longtime favorite like Wind & Sea truly feels like the end of an era. If it's been a while since your last visit, this may be the perfect excuse to enjoy one more meal, take in the harbor views, and make one last memory before they close their doors.

Here is this week’s Coastal OC Hot List of new homes on the market.
There were 111 new listings that came on the market across South Orange County this week, bringing the total number of homes currently on the market to 656 and 64 of those closed escrow. From those, I always like to highlight a handful that really stand out. Homes with exceptional locations, ocean views, single level living, thoughtful upgrades, or simply something that makes them worth a closer look.
If there is one you might want to take a closer look at, I am always happy to share more details or set up a showing.
I hope you enjoy taking a look at this week’s homes.
