James Donahue

Hi, I am James Donahue, a real estate professional from Truckee, California! I have lived in Truckee since 2006, after moving here for a "year of skiing" after college. Seventeen years later, I still live in the greatest place on earth!

I started my sales career in 2006 and transitioned to Real Estate full-time in 2018. In the past four years, I have sold over $35,000,000 in residential real estate, and have consistently performed in the top tier of agents in the Truckee-Tahoe Region. In addition to my sales volume, I have achieved the top sales-price in several luxury neighborhoods in Truckee.

As an outdoor enthusiast, I enjoy backcountry skiing and have proudly skied much of the western United States, Alaska, and western Europe. I also enjoy mountaineering, mountain biking, and fly fishing on the beautiful Truckee River. In my free time I love to play the guitar and spend time with my wife, Allison, and our rescue dog, Louis.

Allison and I have been fostering dogs for the Humane Society Truckee-Tahoe since 2020. Additionally, I volunteer with the Tahoe Truckee School of Music, a 501c3 not for profit that develops musicianship of the Truckee Tahoe Community.
