Doug Balog

Doug is a real estate professional with over 40 years of practical business experience and 35 years specializing in marketing real estate. Doug’s real estate experience includes over 10 years in land development, commercial and industrial real estate in Edmonton, Alberta, followed by broker/partner/general manager of a 15 office franchise and EVP/COO/Partner for an over 400 office franchise in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Doug took a sabbatical from the real estate industry in 1994 as co-founder of NIHA (National In-Line Hockey Association), the national organizing body for amateur roller hockey for the USA, Canada, Japan, Europe, and South America.

Doug has invested time towards the betterment of the real estate industry, chairing political affairs, arbitration, intergovernmental, past president committees and elected as President to a Board of REALTOR®. Doug has been a member of several boards of directors for private and public companies.

In his downtime, Doug enjoys a variety of different hobbies, including playing ice hockey, vehicle restoration, riding his Harley Davidson, in-line skating, biking, hiking and traveling.
