Happy June everyone! This last month, I volunteered for the Sonoma Valley Chapter of Realtors Scholarship Committee. Some Real Estate Professional colleagues and I scoured over 35 applications and got to choose 10 High School students in the Sonoma Valley to give $2,000.00 to, and 1 student received $3,000.00. Being a part of the committee really made me think about how much of a difference receiving like this money can make in jumpstarting their lives. I look forward to being on the committee again for as long as they'll have me.PSA: If you are able to volunteer any time at all, consider going into your local school and helping a teacher in the classroom. I was finally able to to get in a few hours in my sons classroom at Sonoma Charter School during his last week of school. The teacher had the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade classes rotate through. I was able to spend time with each and every one of them playing, listening, and engaging in the stories that they wanted to share. It was one of the most memorable experiences. I cannot wait to spend more time helping out next year! |

School is out now, and Summer break has officially started in our household. Fortunately, my Husband Kevin has accrued an incredible amount of vacation time, and he is able to be home every other week off with our kids. I have a couple mountain getaway vacations planned, thanks to my "Aunt" Kathy and Ro. Do you have any trips planned this Summer? I am hoping to spend time off here and there with our kids, enjoying all that the outdoors has to offer us. My stand up paddle-board is calling my name, as it has been well over two years since I have done it. Have you ever paddle-boarded? We have some beautiful spots to park and jump in the water here locally. If you are looking to ever rent, my Sister used SUP Odyssey in Russian River and we had the best time. |
