JUNE 2022

Get Real (Estate) with Liz & Ellie

APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY AND JUNE FLOWERS

Flowers and teams are growing!

Last year at this time, we had the pleasure of introducing you to a new team member...and now we get to do it again! Stephanie Bond adds a very special area of expertise to our team: f

or over 20 years she has worked as an art consultant at Childs Gallery, while managing her own real estate investments. We're so glad she's spending more time in the world of real estate, and w

e hope you get to meet Stephanie on a property tour, inspection, or at an open house soon!

SOMETIMES DOING THE RIGHT THING IS ALSO THE WRONG THING

Are bike lanes a help or a hindrance?

Our favorite part of The Good Place (which, if you haven't watched it yet, what are you waiting for?) is Michael's revelation about the "point system" used to get humans into heaven: life is complicated and often good actions have unintended negative consequences. (Start at 1:37 on the video for the full explanation.)

Along those lines, there's no doubt that bicycles are a vast improvement over cars from an environmental perspective, and cyclists need a safe way to share the road with vehicles. But how should communities balance bike lanes with a reduction in parking spaces created by those lanes? A group in Cambridge has filed a lawsuit, asking the city to take a second look at their Cycling Safety Ordinance, which would remove parking spaces along Mass Ave and other roads. What do you think?
